Originally in Old English called 'Cynemundescot' (meaning 'Cynemund's Cottages'), Kimcote is mentioned in the Domesday book, where it was listed as having an annual value to its lord of £2!

The modern parish of Kimcote and Walton was created in 1898 by the merger of the parishes of Walton in Knaptoft and Kimcote.

There's no school or shop, but there's a well-regarded pub (The Dog and Gun) in Walton.

Kimcote and Walton is the home to nearly 20 listed buildings

You'll want to look twice at many of the properties, as they are truly charming.

Whilst Kimcote itself has little to offer in the way of physical activities bar some nice walks, there's a nearby golf club, running club and leisure centre (with swimming pool) in Lutterworth, and the Impact Academy where you can do anything from lifting weights to training in boxing or mixed martial arts.
